A Free-Standing Emergency Room Keeps One Wichita Falls Man On His Feet [Case Study]
ER Now - April, 2021

Accidents happen. When they do, they can ruin your day, week, or even longer, especially if you do not have insurance like Marco.
The day started just like any other for Marco. He got up and went to work. At work that day, he had to help load a trailer full of heavy concrete yard decorations. He had been back and forth with arms full of the heavy concrete a few times. It was hard work, but that was just part of his typical day. His day was about to change though.
As he attempted to load a large piece of concrete into the trailer, his foot slipped off the edge of the trailer and his shin scraped down the metal. It hurt, but Marco did not think much of it and kept on working. After a few minutes and a few more trips, someone noticed that Marco had blood on his pants where he had scraped his shin. So he pulled up his pant leg to find blood running down his leg into his boot. Marco had gouged a chunk out of his leg and was in need of medical attention.
He showed the injury to his boss who told him to get in the truck. Marco’s boss drove him to ER Now. ER Now is a Texas state-licensed free-standing emergency room. ...and the wait time at the 'hospitals' would have left me lying the floor. At ER Now, I was able to be seen almost instantly, will basically no wait time. Caring and attentive team of nurses and doctors at ER Now. |

When Marco visited ER Now, he was greeted by a caring staff, who was experienced in emergencies and he was quickly seen by a doctor who was board certified in emergency medicine. He was waiting room for about 5 minutes when they called him back.
The staff looked at his wound and cleaned it up. They determined that he would need three stitches to close the wound and a tetanus shot.
The nurses and doctor were all very friendly and Marco barely felt a thing as they worked. After a few minutes, he was out with an antibiotic and free to go. From the moment they walked in the door at ER Now to the moment they walked out, Marco’s visit was just a little over a half-hour long.
His boss took care of the bill and gave Marco the rest of the day off to rest even though Marco said he was good to go back to work.
Thanks to ER Now, Marco made a quick recovery and was back at work the next day.
